After a while working on cold, wet concrete and dealing with heel pain, Adam Hickernell, head of distribution at Wolf’s Ridge Brewing, decided it was time for a boot upgrade. On trips to Athens, Ohio, to visit family, he'd often pass the Georgia Boot headquarters in Nelsonville. The roadside cognizance and quality brand reputation led Adam to buy his first pair. He felt an immediate difference.

“After my first pair of Georgia Boots, I became a natural brand ambassador for the company. I felt like, man, what a difference this makes. Week in and week out, I can spray hops and chemicals off and they’re not cracking. They give me the support I need for my lower back and withstand the physical labor brewers endure.”

With his newfound appreciation for quality footwear, Adam wondered, why aren’t there boots designed specifically for brewers? The industry has been growing tenfold for a decade. So, he decided to act and reach out to Georgia Boot. To his surprise, they responded and wanted to learn more. An initial meeting (and a few beers, of course) with Wolf's Ridge garnered enough excitement for Georgia Boot to get to work, designing the optimal boot for brewers.

The Brewmaster Collection was carefully crafted with the two most important features to the brewing community in mind: safety and sustainability.

The Brewmaster Collection boots are constructed with ISA TanTec™ leather, lined with a recycled waterproof membrane, and include removable memory foam insole made with algae-infused BLOOM EVA.

The Brewmaster Collection was designed to withstand the wet, keg-cleaning, wort-covered, yeasty environments encountered while brewing those delicious ales and lagers.

The boot’s upper is crafted from premium triple-tanned SPR™ leather. It’s three times stronger than traditional leathers, resisting the cracking that typically happens when boots frequently go through wet and dry stages. The TECtuff® toe prevents the leather from ripping when using your toe to push pallets and kegs. The flexible oil and slip-resisting rubber outsole is direct attached and includes a fiberglass shank for added durability. Each style meets ASTM F2413 protective toe and ASTM F2413 electrical hazard standards.

“The team has been using some of the Georgia Boot prototypes and they’re phenomenal. They allow me to get out on the floor, and you know, they’re just exactly what you need. You can forget about your feet and concentrate on everything else. As the owner, my team’s safety is paramount. Not having to worry about slips and kegs being dropped on toes is a big factor for me.” —Alan, owner, Wolf’s Ridge

“You’re on your feet, on hard concrete floors for most of the day, up and down ladders and stairs. There’s a lot that you’re going to put your feet through. And so that’s where we’ve relied on Georgia Boot. On top of all the general benefits and checkmarks, they’re just very comfortable, and they look really good too.” —Christopher, lead brewer, Wolf’s Ridge

“I’ve been wearing Georgia Boot for about two months straight, and they’re honestly the most comfortable work boot that I’ve had in my career. You notice after a while, the composite toe is absolutely lovely. They’re super lightweight. You feel like you could play a game of hacky sack when you’re done with work.” —Moragh, cellar master and blender, Wolf’s Ridge
